I. General information

The privacy of your personal data is one of the main concerns of Institutul de Ştiinţe Politice şi Relaţii Internaţionale „Ion I. C. Brătianu” (ISPRI) al Academiei Române, Iuliu Maniu 1-3, Corp A, et. 7, sector 6, București, as data controller.
This document is intended to inform you about the processing of your personal data in the context of using the website l.ispri.ro. ("Website")

II. Categories of processed personal data

II.1. If you are a Customer of the Website, ISPRI will process your personal data such as your first and last name, telephone, email address, billing address, delivery address, data on how you use the Website, for example your behavior / preferences / habitualities within ISPRI as well as any other categories of data that you directly provide in the context of creating your user account, in the context of placing an order through the Website or in any other way resulting from the use of the Website.
If you create a user account on the Website using your Facebook or Google account, the ISPRI will process the following public profile data displayed by those applications: username, email address.
If you choose to create a user account just before completing the order of a product available on the Website, your email address will be required to automatically create an account. If you do not complete the order, the email address and other data provided will not be stored by ISPRI and the created account will be automatically deleted.

II.2. If you are a Visitor of the Website, ISPRI will process your personal data that you provide directly in the context of the use of the Website, such as the data you provide in the contact section / questions / complaints, if you contact us this way.

III. The purposes and bases of the processing

III.1. If you are a Client of the Website, ISPRI processes your personal data as follows:
● to conduct the contractual relationship between you and the ISPRI, respectively for the takeover, validation, dispatch and billing of the order placed on the Site, to inform you on the order status, returned products, etc.
Basis: The processing of your data for this purpose is based on the agreement between you and the ISPRI as defined in the Terms and Conditions. The provision of your personal data is required for the performance of this contract. Refusal to provide data may result in the contractual relationship between you and the ISPRI being inaccessible.
● to fulfill the legal obligations incumbent on ISPRI in the context of the services provided through the Webite, including tax obligations as well as archiving.
Basis: Processing of your data for this purpose is required on the basis of legal obligations. Providing your data for this purpose is required. Refusing to provide data may result in the ISPRI being unable to comply with its legal obligations and therefore unable to provide you services through the Website.
● for marketing activities, through the means of communication for the purpose of transmitting commercial communications on the products and services offered by ISPRI through the Website.

Providing your data for this purpose is voluntary. Refusing to provide consent to process your data for this purpose will not have negative consequences for you.
● for the purpose of performing various analyzes, reporting on how the Website operates, and making consumer preference profiles, primarily to improve the experience on the Website.
Basis: Processing your data for this purpose is based on the legitimate interest of ISPRI to permanently improve the customer experience on the Website. Providing your data for this purpose is voluntary. Refusing to provide data for this purpose will not have negative consequences for you.

III.2. If you are a Visitor to the Website, ISPRI processes your personal data as follows:
● for marketing activities, for the purpose of transmitting, through the means of distance communication (e-mail, sms), commercial communications on the products and services offered by ISPRI via the Website.
Basis: Processing your data for this purpose is based on your consent if you choose to provide it.
You can express your consent to data processing for this purpose by filling in and ticking the appropriate box in the newsletter subscription form available on the Site. For unsubscribing from receiving such commercial communications, you can use the option at the end of each e-mail / sms containing commercial communications.
Providing your data for this purpose is voluntary. Refusing to provide consent to process your data for this purpose will not have negative consequences for you.
● to resolve complaints, to monitor traffic and to improve your experience on the Website.
Basis: Processing your data for this purpose is based on the ISPRI legitimate interest in ensuring the correct functioning of the Website, as well as permanently improving the visitor experience of the Website, including by resolving various comments, questions or complaints.
Providing your data for this purpose is voluntary. Refusing to provide consent to process your data for this purpose will not have negative consequences for you.

IV. The length of time we're processing your data

As a matter of principle, ISPRI will process your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the above mentioned processing goals.
If you are a customer, we will process your data for the duration of your contractual relationship and subsequently under the legal obligations of ISPRI (eg, in the case of financial and accounting supporting documents for which the expected retention period by law is 10 years from the date of the financial year in which they were drawn up).
If you are a customer and exercise the user account deletion option by clicking the Delete Account button in the My Account Information section, ISPRI will interpret this action as your option to unsubscribe from receiving communications commercial information that keep you informed about the products and services offered through the Website. In this sense, if you choose to delete your user account, we will no longer send you emails and / or sms of this kind. However, we want to inform you that deleting your account will not automatically erase your personal data. If you do not want your personal data to be processed or you want to delete the data, you can exercise the rights detailed in Section VII below. If you request the deletion of the account, but there is at least one active request, the account deletion request will only be logged after delivery of the products and completion of the last active order.
If you withdraw your consent to data processing for marketing purposes, ISPRI will cease processing your personal data for that purpose without, however, affecting the processing undertaken by ISPRI on the basis of the consent expressed by you before withdrawing it.

V. Disclosure of personal data

For the purposes of processing, ISPRI may disclose your data to partners, third parties or entities that support ISPRI in conducting activity through the Site (eg courier companies, IT service providers) or to central / local public authorities in the following exemplary cases listed bellow:
● to administer the Website;
● where such communication would be necessary to award prizes or other facilities to the individuals concerned as a result of their participation in various promotional campaigns organized by ISPRI through the Website;
● to maintain, personalize and improve the Website and its services;
● to perform data analysis, testing and research, monitoring usage and activity trends, developing security features and user authentication;
● for the transmission of commercial marketing communications under the conditions and limits stipulated by the law;
● when the disclosure of personal data is provided by law, etc.

VI. Transferring personal data

Data provided to ISPRI may be transferred outside of Romania, but only to countries in the European Union.

VII. Your rights

Under the conditions set out in the legislation on the processing of personal data, you are entitled to the following rights:
● the right to information, respectively the right to receive details of the processing activities carried out by ISPRI as described in this document;
● the right of access to data, respectively the right to obtain confirmation from ISPRI about the processing of personal data, as well as details of processing activities such as the way the data are processed, the purpose of the data being processed processing, recipients or categories of data recipients, etc .;
● the right to rectification, respectively the right to obtain inaccurate or unjustified personal data without proper justification by the ISPRI, as well as the completion of incomplete data; The rectification / completion shall be communicated to each recipient to whom the data were transmitted, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate efforts.
● the right to delete the data without undue delay ('the right to be forgotten') if one of the following applies:
    ○ these are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or processed;
    ○ if consent is withdrawn and there is no other legal basis for processing;
    ○ if the data subject opposes processing and there are no legitimate reasons to prevail;
    ○ if personal data has been illegally processed;
    ○ if personal data has to be deleted for compliance with a legal obligation;
    ○ personal data has been collected in connection with the provision of information society services in accordance with Union or national law under which the operator is located.
It is possible that, following the request for data deletion, the ISPRI will anonymize this data (thus depriving it of its personal character) and continue processing for statistical purposes under these conditions;
● the right to restrict processing to the extent that:
    ○ the person disputes the accuracy of the data for a period that allows us to verify the correctness of the data;
    ○ processing is illegal and the data subject opposes the deletion of personal data, but instead calls for restrictions on their use;
    ○ the operator no longer requires personal data for processing, but the data subject requests them to find, exercise or defend a right in court; or
    ○ the data subject opposed to processing (other than direct marketing) for the period of time to verify that the legitimate rights of the operator prevail over the data subject's.
● the right to data portability, respectively (i) the right to receive personal data in a structured way, which is commonly used in an easy-to-read format, and (ii) the right to have such data transmitted by to ISPRI to another data operator, to the extent that the conditions prescribed by law are met;
● the right to object - in respect of the processing activities may be exercised by submitting a request as indicated below;
    ○ at any time, on grounds relating to the particular circumstances of the data subject, that the data which are intended to be processed under the legitimate interest of ISPRI or the public interest, except where ISPRI can demonstrate that he has legitimate and compelling reasons justifying the processing and which prevails over the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or that the purpose is to establish, exercise or defend a right in court;
    ○ at any time, free of charge and without any justification, that data intended to be processed for direct marketing purposes.
● the right not to be subject to an automatic individual decision, that is, the right not to be the subject of a decision taken solely on the basis of automated processing activities, including the creation of profiles, which produces legal effects affecting the data subject or affects it similarly to a significant extent;
● the right to contact the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing or the competent courts, as far as you consider it necessary.
